The windmill is located in Praia, or S. Mateus, at Rua dos Moinhos de Vento, 44. It's only 200 metres from the harbour.
In front, there's a little islet "Ilhéu da Praia".

This islet is a natural reservation that serves as the nest to immigrant birds, There's a unique bird called "Painho do Monteiro".

Caldeira
Caldeira is a vast crater covered by vegetation with the famous Furna do Enxofre inside, a true highlight of the island. On the way down to the grout, visitors are taken to the depths of a sleeping volcano, which is a truly unique experience.
Gastronomy
Try the seafood "Lapas", "Cavaco" or lobster, which make the delights of the ones who appreciate seafood. Fish is also cooked in many different ways, either fried served with a garlic sauce or boiled in a special way: "Molho de peixe à pescador".
